Introduction to New Learn UPH

Dear Lecturers, we’re excited to share that the Learn UPH platform now features a fresh new look and enhanced capabilities. On August 1, 2025, Learn UPH was successfully upgraded from Moodle version 4.1 to 4.5 as part of our ongoing commitment to improving the teaching and learning experience for both you and your students. This guide will walk you through the most exciting new features and important changes to help you make the most of the updated platform.

New Learn UPH Tools
to Enrich Your Courses

We’re pleased to introduce several new features designed to simplify course organization and enhance student engagement.

Learn UPH – Subsections

You can now structure your topics more effectively by adding Subsections, allowing for a cleaner layout of materials and activities.

Learn UPH – AI Summarise

A new feature, AI Summarise, can help students by generating quick summaries of text-based content on your course page. Please note that this feature currently reads only text written directly in Moodle and cannot summarize the contents of uploaded files.

Learn UPH – Question Bank

The management of assessments has also been improved. The Question Bank now features a better filtering system, making it much easier to find and reuse past questions.

Learn UPH – Activities Groups

Furthermore, assigning different work to specific student groups is now more streamlined with the improved Activities Groups functionality, giving you control over whether groups can see activities assigned to others.

UI Changes and Improvements

Some familiar features have been improved or moved to more intuitive locations. When viewing Assignment Submissions, you’ll notice a redesigned interface with enhanced filtering options and key actions easily accessible without the need to scroll.

Two notable location changes have been made for improved accessibility and clarity. The “External tool” option has been moved under the “More” tab and renamed to “LTI External tools.” Additionally, the previous “View all submissions” button for assignments has been replaced with a more prominent “Submissions” tab located at the top of the assignment page.

Accessing Your Past Courses

Please be assured that all your previous courses are safe and remain accessible. To access courses from past terms (1243 or earlier), please visit our archive platform at 41learn.uph.edu. To help you easily distinguish this site, the archive platform features a red theme. You will be able to access all your old files and classes there until the end of the 2025-2026 academic year.
